"Mark of the Past" is a psychological mystery that follows Lila, a young woman whose forgotten past begins to unravel through unsettling messages and fractured memories. What she once believed to be a simple birthmark may be tied to a darker, hidden truth from her childhood.

As Lila, you’ll navigate her personal space, interact with friends and family, and uncover pieces of a buried trauma that threatens to resurface. Your choices shape her path, revealing multiple outcomes.

Trigger warning: Teams of trauma, PTSD, suicide and other mental health issues could be present in the game.

This is right up my alley! I love point & click, and I always enjoy interactive messaging in games. The mystery is also very compelling and I'm so looking forward to the full version!

Also, the colors are gorgeous!

Hey, I tried the demo and I it looks very promising!

The artstyle works really well, I find the 3d environment/plain texture combo suits the vibe you're going for. It's stylised without falling into a visual uncanny valley as it sometimes happens to some 3d renpy projects. The black outline of some models does sometimes look a bit inconsistent, but it doesn't distract from the overall picture.

I loved how you use the point and click medium for storytelling, like with the laptop and the mirror (how do you even do that scroll thing in renpy?!). I hope the whole gathering info from computer logs or groupchats is expanded upon, I love when games do that (it's a great way to blend mystery/exploration and drama).

The flavour text also sets up the character and mood very efficiently, I loved how you use text to signal which objects can be interacted with in the point and click bgs (something I should learn from). Overall, the technical aspect was really well executed. The only thing I found was that if you click the set of drawers or the lamp on the right it takes you to the wardrobe  scene(that might be intentional or a wip, mentioning it just in case).

It was a really solid demo. Congrats, can't wait for the full version!
